Speakers confirmed

We’re very happy to confirm the keynote speakers for NeNa 2018 – and with such a broad range of topics, we hope there will be something in it for everyone:
Nicky Clayton, Professor of Comparative Cognition in Cambridge, is maybe best known for her contributions to animal and developmental cognition, but also deeply interested in the arts. She has pioneered collaborations with artists – at NeNa, she will speak together with Clive Wilkins, artist in residence at Cambridge university and widely recognised for his writings and paintings. Their topic will be 7 myths of memory, integrating evidence form cognitive neuroscience and art.

Huibert Mansvelder, Professor of Integrative Neurophysiology at the Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, aims to elucidate how cellular and circuit mechanisms contribute to complex behaviour. He is also a collaborator on the Human Brain Project. At NeNa, he will speak about a cellular basis of human intelligence, linking intelligence to structural and functional properties, using neurophysiology, imaging and computational modelling.
